Volunteer Opportunities

As a member or a candidate of Beta Alpha Psi, volunteer hours are a requirement. There are multiple ways to obtain these hours, and maybe even have fun doing it.

Volunteer Tutoring in the Business Tutoring Center

Available On Campus & Virtually

One great benefit of being a Business Major at Chico State is the College of Business has its own Business Tutoring Center, exclusively for all classes required to obtain a business and accounting degree. You must complete your hours with a paid tutor there, that can then verify you completed those hours. More information will be sent via email throughout the semester.

Free Tax Return Preparation February Through April

VITA provides our members the opportunity to become IRS certified, and volunteer in our local community, through preparation of tax returns for low income individuals. This program provides our community in over 1 million dollars in benefits.

This opportunity not only counts as volunteer hours for BAP membership, but it will also give you terrific tax form experience for your resume. It is our biggest volunteer opportunity only offered during the Spring Semester.
